Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Mancherial police busted a sex racket run on the outskirts of the town and rescued two women on Monday. They arrested seven persons including a notorious woman organiser and two pimps. Cash of Rs 15,000 and two mobile phones were recovered from them.
Briefing pressmen about the racket, Deputy Commissioner of Police Uday Kumar Reddy said that accused organiser was Pendyala Nagalaxmi alias Vaishnavi, a resident of Mandamarri town and pimps were Kalloya Dinesh, Annam Ramesh, both from Kaghaznagar town in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district. The customers included Abdul Gaffar, Shaik Riyaz, Abdul Irfan and Abdul Zubair, all natives of Kaghaznagar town.
They were taken into custody when Inspector Muttilingaiah, Sub-Inspector Maruti and three constables raided the flat, following a tip. During the course of investigations, Nagalaxmi confessed that she was operating the brothel house at a rented flat in Gadderagadi by luring the two women to provide employment a fortnight back.
She admitted that she was charging Rs 1,000 per person. She stated that she was collecting Rs 500 from each customer as commission. She revealed that Dinesh and Ramesh were helping her in bringing customers.
