Hyderabad: A relative of the minor girl victim on Monday said the family continues to live with unbearable grief and has not recovered from the tragedy that claimed the lives of their loved ones.
“We are still suffering every day because of our loss. Nothing can bring them back. We have placed certain demands before the government, and the District Collector is looking into them. Until those demands are fulfilled, we cannot find any relief,” the family member said.
The relative also expressed disappointment over the delay in the government’s response, saying action should have been taken much earlier. “It has already been delayed. However, at least now, the authorities have taken a step in this matter, and that gives us some satisfaction. Even though it is late, there is some clarity on the issue now,” the family member said.
Referring to reports of Raj Kumar’s death, the relative said the family had not received any official communication from the government. “We came to know about it through others, not from the authorities. If the reports are true, not only our family but the entire country would react to it,” the relative said.
The family member added that many people believed a person accused of committing such a heinous crime should not be allowed to remain in society.
