Shabbir Ali honoured with national excellence award

Former India football captain Shabbir Ali was honoured with the Well Care India Social Welfare Foundation national excellence award in Hyderabad. He thanked the organisation for recognising his contribution to Telangana and Indian football and reaffirmed his commitment to the sport

Hyderabad: Former India football captain Shabbir Ali has been honoured with the Well Care India Social Welfare Foundation national excellence award here on Sunday.

“This is in recognition of my services to Telangana football in particular and Indian football in general. I am truly indebted to the organisation and I take this opportunity to continue to serve the game with the same commitment and passion,” Shabbir Ali said.

Dr. Jawad, Chairman, Germanten Hospital, who was the chief guest, presented the memento.
