Shastri Soccer Club and State Bank of India XI players at the exhibition match in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Shastri Soccer Club scored a 3-0 win against State Bank of India XI, comprising mainly former players, in an exhibition match held at the farewell function of P Krishna Rao, a well-known promoter of football from the State Bank group.
Julie, P Likith Naidu, and Shiva were the scorers.
Kittu, as he was popularly known in sporting circles, was the captain of the SBH team that won the South Zone inter-bank tournament. He also represented Telangana in the Junior Nationals and Andhra Pradesh in the 1991 Santosh Trophy national championship.
Shastri Soccer Club’s former secretary Jesu Raj, president Mohan, and K R V Murthy, former manager of SBI, graced the event.
