Kothagudem: A 56-year-old shepherd was injured in an attack by a gaur (Indian bison) in the forests of Regulagudem village in Paloncha mandal in the district on Tuesday.

The victim identified as Mokati Chinnaiah of Regulagudem suffered injuries on his left eye. He was shifted to District Hospital in Kothagudem for treatment. The incident occurred when he took buffaloes for grazing.
