Shepherd stranded in Manairvagu as floods surge in Sircilla
A shepherd, Gurukula Praveen, was stranded in Manairvagu in Rajanna-Sircilla while returning cattle. SDRF teams rushed for rescue as officials monitored the operation, a day after another shepherd was washed away

Rajanna-Sircilla: Barely a day after a shepherd was washed away in Narmalavagu, another shepherd, Gurukula Praveen, was stranded in the middle of Manairvagu near Lingannapet in Gambhiraopet mandal on Wednesday.
A native of Lingannapet, Praveen was caught in the swelling rivulet while bringing back cattle as the flow suddenly surged.
On learning of the incident, a State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations. District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and Superintendent of Police Mahesh B Gite personally monitored the operation.
It may be recalled that a shepherd, Nagaiah, had been washed away in Narmalavagu in the same mandal earlier.
