Sheraton Hyderabad to host Malaysian food showcase on September 26, 27
Zega at Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel will host Malaysian chef Fitri on September 26 and 27 as part of its guest chef series. The two-day event will feature popular Malaysian dishes, including Nasi Lemak, Rendang, Laksa, Satay and Char Kway Teow.
Hyderabad: Zega at Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel will host “Flavours of Malaysia”, a guest chef series featuring Malaysian chef Fitri, on September 26 and 27.
Chef Fitri, who has 15 years of culinary experience, draws inspiration from his early years in Kuala Lumpur, where he grew up helping his family sell Nasi Lemak. His cooking is also influenced by recipes and techniques passed down by his mother and grandmother.
At Zega, Chef Fitri will present a selection of Malaysian dishes highlighting the diversity of the country’s cuisine. The menu will include Nasi Lemak, Royal Rendang, Gado Gado, Laksa, Ayam Penyet, Char Kway Teow, Jackfruit Rendang, Udang Masak Lemak Cili Api, Ikan Bakar, Ayam Percik, Satay, Mee Udang Johor, Sambal Sotong, Pandan Sri Muka and Onde Onde, among others.
Chef Fitri’s approach to Malaysian cuisine focuses on community, tradition and shared dining. His menu combines fragrant herbs and spices with grilled preparations, rich sauces and regional flavours associated with Malaysian cooking.
The two-day culinary experience will be available during lunch and dinner at Zega, Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel. Guests can also avail themselves of a 25 per cent saving on bookings made through SevenRooms.
The event is part of Zega’s guest chef series and will give diners an opportunity to sample Malaysian dishes prepared by Chef Fitri.
