SHG women open pizza centre in Mulugu — The Nava Bharat Mandal Federation, which set up the pizza centre, has proved that pizzas and burgers can be served not only in Hyderabad but also in remote Mulugu town.

Mulugu: In a first of its kind attempt in the State, a women’s Self Help Group (SHG) federation has set up a pizza centre in Mulugu that should come as a delight to the people of the town.

The Nava Bharat Mandal Federation, which set up the pizza centre, has proved that pizzas and burgers can be served not only in Hyderabad but also in remote Mulugu town. Team leader Swaroopa said she has been running the Annapurna canteen on the premises of the District Collectorate for several months, and has now opened the Pizza centre on Saturday.

“We are also going to provide free home delivery. Customers can place orders online,” she said, and thanked the District Rural Development Organisation (DRDO) for providing financial assistance. “While Rs 3.50 lakh loan was provided to set up the canteen, Rs 1 lakh was provided to set up the pizza centre,” Swaroopa added.
