‘Shifting of Jiyaguda goat and sheep market to Patancheru on cards’
The MLA said the marketing officials have consulted the Finance Minister T Harish Rao to discuss the possibility of shifting the Jiyaguda market to Patancheru.
Patancheru: The Patancheru legislator Gudem Mahipal Reddy has said that the shifting of the Jiyaguda Sheep and Goat market to Patancheru was on the cards.
Speaking to news reporters after inaugurating the wholesale onion shop on the premises of Agriculture Market here on Saturday, the MLA said the marketing officials have consulted the Finance Minister T Harish Rao to discuss the possibility of shifting the Jiyaguda market to Patancheru.
Saying that they could develop the agriculture market with all the modern facilities in a 14 acre space in Patancheru since the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has granted the funds liberally, Reddy has said that they have built 30 wholesale onion shops in the first phase. Stating that they would increase the number of wholesale onion shops to 105 in Patancheru Market, the Patancheru MLA has said that the efforts are on to shift the Malakpet Onion Market to Patancheru.
Reddy has further announced that they will hold the cattle market on every Thursday from October 22 onwards in Patancheru. He has assured to proivde all the facilties to farmers and traders coming to the market. MLA, V Bhupal Reddy,Market Committee Chairman, Harika Vijay Kumar and others were present.
