Shilparamam hosts All India Crafts Mela from December 20

Shilparamam Hyderabad is set to host the All India Crafts Mela from December 20 to January 5, featuring nearly 100 stalls of handloom sarees and craft items from across India. Daily cultural programmes from 5.30 pm will highlight performances by NRI classical artists from across the globe.

Hyderabad: Shilparamam Hyderabad brings back the much sought after ‘All India Crafts Mela’ from December 20 to January 5 between 10.30 am and 8 pm.

Sponsored by Development Commissioner of Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, and National Jute Board, the mela will have around 100 stalls of handloom sarees from different states of India participating in this mela.

Available at the mela will be Jamdani, Kota, Tussar, Mysore silk, Kalamkari, Bandhani, Banarasi, Kantha work, Pochampally, Gadwal, Gollabhama, Mangalagiri, Narayanapet, Venkatagiri, Patola sarees, dress materials, bedsheets and carpets.

A variety of craft items in handlooms, handicrafts, woodcarving, terracotta, blue pottery, cane, bamboo, jute products and more will also be presented with live demonstrations.

The event will have a variety of cultural programmes organised daily from 5.30 pm in its lush green lawns with performances by NRI classical artists from Hong Kong, Dubai, London, Texas, Portland, Phoenixville, a press release said.
