Shilparamam to organise multiple festivities, cultural programmes for Sankranti
Apart from an attractive display of a range of handlooms and handicrafts in the National Mela, a variety of cultural programmes will also be held at the amphitheatre from 5.30 pm onwards
Hyderabad: Gandhi Shilp Bazaar National Mela and Sankranti celebrations are being organised at Madhapur Shilparamam campus from January 8 to 17.
Shilparamam Hyderabad and Development of Commissioner Handicrafts are jointly organising the ‘National Mela’, which will have craftsmen with handicraft products from different States available for visitors at Shilparamam Madhapur.
On display during the mela will be wooden dolls, folk painting, hand-printed dress materials and saris, silver filigree, Bidri art, bamboo, cane, lace work, Bastar iron craft, Zari Jardozi, toys, dry flowers and many other handicrafts, a press release said.
Meanwhile, Shilparamam Madhapur and Uppal are also arranging Gangireddulu, Haridasulu Budabukkalu, Jangamadevarulu in the beautiful village atmosphere from January 13 to 15 during the Sankranti festival.
On the occasion of Bhogi festival, Shilparamam is organising ‘Bhogi palla utsavam’ for children. Also, daily a variety of cultural programmes will be held at the amphitheatre from 5.30 pm onwards.
