Hyderabad: Shlok Chandrani of Maharashtra bagged top honours with 10.5 points out from 12 rounds in the juniors’ category while Kartavya Anadkat from Ahmedabad clinched title with 10 points in 12 rounds in the open category of the 191st Brilliant Trophy online chess tournament on Tuesday.
In the juniors category, Shlok Chandrani defeated Suhaas Kuppili for the first place in the tie-breaker after they were tied with 10.5 points each. Meanwhile, Druvesh Dondapati settled for third place with 10 points in 12 rounds.
Abdallah M Nistar secured second spot in the open category after losing to Kartavya Anadkat in the tie-breaker. Amitpal Singh stood at third with 9.5 points out of 12 rounds.
