Hyderabad: Two unidentified men robbed a shop keeper allegedly at gunpoint in a shop at Bhagyalakshmi Colony in Jeedimetla here late on Friday night.
According to the police, the victim who runs a money transfer service was alone in the shop verifying the bills when around 11 pm, two men wearing helmets barged into the shop, confined and threatened him.
“Both suspects aged in mid-twenties came on a scooter. While, one stood at the door, another cornered and overpowered the shop keeper. He brandished a pistol and fled with Rs 1.9 lakh cash from the counter and a mobile phone,” police said.
Based on a complaint, the Jeedimetla police booked a case and verified footage from surveillance cameras. “We were able to get some concrete clues and are hoping to nab the supects soon,” officials said.
