Short circuit triggers fire at Secunderabad’s Boudhanagar, auto-rickshaw damaged
A fire allegedly triggered by a short circuit in tangled internet and television cables wrapped around an electricity pole broke out in Boudhanagar, Secunderabad. The blaze damaged a parked auto-rickshaw before power officials disconnected the supply, preventing further escalation.

Hyderabad: A major fire was reported due to a short circuit allegedly caused by internet and TV cable wires wrapped around an electricity pole at Boudhanagar in Secunderabad on Wednesday morning.
According to local residents, the short circuit occurred at L.N. Nagar when a tangled cluster of cable wires caught fire. The flames quickly spread, completely burning the cables and engulfing a nearby parked auto rickshaw, which was heavily damaged in the blaze.
Electricity department personnel promptly disconnected the power supply, preventing the fire from escalating into a larger disaster.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Meanwhile, residents expressed concern over the large bundles of internet and television cables hanging from electricity poles.
