Vemulawada temple earns Rs 3.72 crore from hundial offerings in 28 days

The Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada earned Rs 3,72,78,809 in cash, besides 201 grams of mixed gold and 16.6 kg of mixed silver, through hundial offerings received from devotees between August 19 and September 17.

Rajanna Sircilla: The famed Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam-Vemulawada earned an income of Rs 3.72 crore for 28 days. Counting of hundials was conducting on the premises of the temple on Wednesday and Thursday.

In a statement issued by Executive Officer Rama Devi, the temple saw revenue of Rs 3,72,78,809, in cash, 201 grams of mixed gold and 16.6 kgs of mixed silver by way of offerings to the deity by devotees from August 19 to September 17. The temple was thronged by thousands of devotees from not only Telangana, but also neighboring Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu in auspicious Shravana month, fetching a significant income.

Rama Devi, Endowment Assistant Commissioner Rajamouli, Assistant EO Navin supervised the counting, while members of Raja Rajeswara Seva Samthi and outsourced staffers and policemen took part in the counting.
