Shreyas Ande and Arjun Mahadev hit centuries in HCA schools cricket
Centuries from Shreyas Ande and Arjun Mahadev powered Gowtham World School to a big win over St Mark’s in the HCA under-14 tournament, while Rishiket Sisodia’s twin tons helped Deccan Wanderers dominate the A-Division one-day league matches

Hyderabad: Centuries by captain Shreyas Ande (115, 77b, 14×4, 3×6) and D Arjun Mahadev (125 n.o., 88b, 20×4) helped Gowtham World School (Saroornagar) drub St Mark’s Boys Town by 196 runs in the HCA Inter-schools (under-14) knock-out tournament on Monday.
Batting first, Gowtham School scored 408 for four in 50 overs thanks to the centuries by Shreyas and Arjun. In reply, St Mark’s was bowled out for 212 in 46.3 overs with opener G Rakesh Sekhar (90) being the top-scorer. For the winners, M Aryan (three for 32) bowled well.
In another match, CV Chetan Aditya cracked a match-winning century (108, 118b, 13×4) for Gowtham Model School against Delhi Public School.
In the A-Division one-day league-cum-knock-out, opener Rishiket Sisodia cracked two centuries to help Deccan Wanderers record convincing wins.
Rishiket scored 161 (89b, 15×4, 11×6) against Sporting XI and 115 n.o. (42b, 11×4, 10×6) against Cambridge XI.

A-Division one-day league-cum-knock-out (matches played on Saturday and Sunday): Sporting XI 282 in 49 overs (Shaikh Sohail 53, Jasmeet Nain 152, B Rathan Teja 40, T Harish 3/51) lost to Deccan Wanderers 283/2 in 38.4 overs (Rishiket Sisodia 161, P Nitish Reddy 52 n.o., M Vasu Deva Raju 41 n.o.).
Cambridge XI 130 in 30.2 overs (Shashank Lokesh 34, S Dheeraj Goud 41, Rishiket Sisodia 3/14) lost to Deccan Wanderers 134/1 in 9.2 overs (Rishiket Sisodia 115 n.o.).
