Shreyas Iyer suffers spleen injury during Sydney ODI, remains under medical observation

India’s Shreyas Iyer suffered a laceration injury to his spleen while fielding during the third ODI against Australia in Sydney. The BCCI said he is stable and recovering under medical supervision, with the team doctor monitoring his progress in Sydney.

Hyderabad: Shreyas Iyer sustained an impact injury to his left lower rib cage region while fielding during the third ODI against Australia in Sydney on October 25. He was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.

Scans have revealed a laceration injury to the spleen. He is under treatment, medically stable, and recovering well.
