Hyderaabad: Ace shuttler PV Sindhu on Saturday said that she also faced cyber bullying and trolling and advised the people to bring it to the notice of the cyber cell of the police department if anyone faces it.

Participating as a chief guest at an awareness programme organized by Telangana Women Safety Wing for the cyber ambassadors in various schools, she asked the parents to constantly monitor their children. The parents should create awareness among their children and help them in case of any problem, she said.

Since internet became a part in everyone’s life, the parents should take necessary steps in giving priority to watch programmes pertaining to education, confidence building and sports. Complimenting the police department for developing students at the school level as cyber warriors, she said the She Teams were giving confidence in giving protection to women.

The cyber warriors would also give confidence to victims of cybercrimes. The victims should immediately alert the police if they face problems. Everyone should do exercise daily as it would give more energy to them, she said.

Additional Director-General of Police, Women Safety Wing, Swati Lakra, who was also present at the event, said cybercrime cases increased because of more use of phone to attend online classes. “To deal with cybercrimes, we have given separate training to two girls and a teacher in every school in the name of cyber congress,” she said.

As many as 3,500 girl students and 2,000 teachers underwent training, she added.
