Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Two siblings were arrested for allegedly decamping with cash Rs 4.25 lakh from a woman vegetable vendor, in Kagaznagar on Wednesday. Police recovered Rs 4.22 lakh in cash from them. The brother-duo was identified as Chunarkar Devaji and Chunarkar Shankar of Gundi village.
On being interrogated, Devaji and Shankar confessed to committing the crime for fun. They admitted that they stole the cash by diverting the attention of the vendor Prameela by observing her activities for quite a long time. They revealed that they used the amount of Rs 3,000 from the stolen cash for consuming liquor and eating biryani. Police said 12 cases were booked against the duo on charges of burglaries and theft reported in Asifabad town in 2020.
