Siddipet bags ‘World Toilet Day’ award

During a virtual award presentation ceremony, Union Minister for Jala Shakthi Gajendra Singh Shekawat will present the award to mark the World Toilet Day on November 19

Siddipet: Siddipet district has bagged the World Toilet Day award. Union Ministry of Jal Shakthi, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation has selected Siddipet and Peddapalli districts in Telangana apart from 18 other districts from across the country.

District Collector Bharathi Hollikeri said Siddipet was selected for the award in recognition of its work in management of dry and wet waste and also Sharamadan conducted under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM).  During a virtual award presentation ceremony, Union Minister for Jala Shakthi Gajendra Singh Shekawat will present the award to mark the World Toilet Day on November 19.
