Siddipet Commissioner asks farmers not to dry paddy on roads

The Commissioner warned that the police would initiate stern action if anyone was spotted spreading paddy on roads.

Siddipet: Commissioner of Police Siddipet Dr B Anuradha called upon farmers not to spread paddy on roads for drying purposes. This was to avoid accidents in the wake of four persons dying in a road accident at Potharam in Medak two days ago.

The Commissioner warned that the police would initiate stern action if anyone was spotted spreading paddy on roads. The district had witnessed numerous such incidents of vehicle users losing their lives due to spreading of paddy on roads, she said, adding that two-wheeler drivers were prone to such accidents.
