Siddipet: Gajwel police registered a case against Siddipet District Congress Committee (DCC) President Tumukunta Aknsha Reddy and 44 other Congress workers on the charge of attacking Gajwel MLA camp office.
Following the attack on the MLA camp office on Saturday, BRS leaders led by Vanteru Prathap Reddy filed a complaint at Gajwel police station. The police registered an FIR against the Congress workers on the same night.
However, the police made it public on Sunday while the BRS was preparing to enforce Gajwel town bandh on Monday.
The attack on the MLA camp office drew criticism from all quarters as former Chief Minister and leader of the opposition K Chandrashekhar Rao was representing the constituency in the assembly. Meanwhile, the police are still examining the video footage of the incident. The police may file cases against more Congress workers if they are found to be involved in the attack.
