Siddipet development reels contest offers Rs 1 lakh top prize

A reels competition on Siddipet’s development will be held as part of the district formation anniversary celebrations. Organisers will award Rs 1 lakh, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 to winners in professional and individual categories, besides honouring impressive entries.

Siddipet: As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of Siddipet district formation, the organising committee has decided to conduct a ‘reels’ competition for social media influencers on the development of Siddipet. Social media influencers who come up with the best videos will be presented Rs 1 lakh, while the second and third prize winners will receive Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.

Speaking to news reporters in Siddipet on Tuesday, BRS leader Macha Venugopal Reddy said the competition would be conducted in two separate categories: individuals who make videos and post them on their respective social media accounts, and professional social media influencers who post videos on YouTube and other social media platforms.

Reddy said the Rs 1 lakh, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 prize money would be given in both the professional and individual categories, apart from honouring others who make impressive videos.

He said a three-member committee had been constituted to go through all the videos and select the best entries. He called upon people to tag their videos at @siddipetat10, @trsharish, #siddipetAt10 and #10yerasofsiddipetdistrict before October 11.

Meanwhile, the committee will also present awards to the best photo and video journalists on the occasion. Posters regarding the competition were unveiled during the press conference at the Siddipet MLA Camp Office.
