Siddipet: Siddipet Diagnostic Centre, located on the premises of Government Medical College Siddipet, has become the first government Diagnostic Centre in the State to conduct Covid-19 profile tests.
With the support of the Finance Minister T Harish Rao, the district health department bought the equipment a few days ago. Since then, the pathologists at the Lab carried out a dry run for a fortnight. The Diagnostic Centre will conduct Rs 5,500 worth Covid-19 profile tests at free of cost.
Harish Rao has called upon the citizens to visit the Diagnostic Centre for getting the tests done instead of spending money in private diagnostic centres.
Initially, the services will be offered to the patients admitted at Government Hospital. Later, the samples collected in Gajwel, Dubbak, Husnabad and Cheriyal Area Hospitals will be transported to Siddipet Diagnostic Centres. The results of the tests will be SMSed to the patients and doctors mobiles in less than 24 hours.
The DiagnostiC centre will conduct tests such as D-Dimer, Ferritin, CRP, LDH, CBP and others. The equipment to conduct the D-Dimer test has been procured a few days ago.
