Siddipet farmers to get pesticides, fertilisers at cheaper rates
The DCMS will create a separate facility at IRSK to educate the farmers on various farm practices, and usage of pesticides.
Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao has called upon farmers to buy fertilisers and pesticides from the Integrated Rythu Seva Kendra (IRSK) since the Medak District Cooperative Marketing Society (DCMS) was offering them at rates cheaper than prevailing in the market.
Speaking after inaugurating the IRSK at the Integrated Market, Siddipet, the Minister said that DCMS objective was to support the farming community by minimising profits. The DCMS will create a separate facility at IRSK to educate the farmers on various farm practices, and usage of pesticides.
Apart from selling the pesticides and fertilisers, Harish Rao said that the DCMS personnel will also guide the farmers on usage of fertilisers and pesticides by roping in the services of experts. Stating that the DCMS will have all the facilities like a corporate outlet.
DCMS Chairman Shiva Kumar called upon the farmers to utilise the opportunity by walking into the outlet to buy pesticides and fertilisers which they will get at relatively cheaper price. “DCMS’s sole motto is to help farmers get the pesticides and fertilisers at a cheaper rate,” he said.
Former Municipal Chairman K Rajanarsu, Market Committee Chairman Pala Sairam, DCMS Director Kanakaraju, SUDA Director Matcha Venugopal Reddy and others were present.
