Siddipet: In a shocking and gruesome incident, a man killed his one-year-old daughter by tying her ankles with electric wires and switching on the power at his farm in Venkatraopet village in Thoguta Mandal on Friday. Later, he consumed pesticide and attempted suicide. He was rushed to RVM Hospital near Mulug in Siddipet district.
Mirudoddi Rajahshekar (32) was reportedly depressed over having a girl child. Worried about her future, Rajashekar took the baby to the farm where he tied both her legs with electric wires before switching on the power, killing the baby instantly. The baby’s mother Sunitha was seen crying inconsolably holding the body in her hands. The incident left the entire village in deep shock. Villagers gathered at the spot in large numbers. Thoguta police registered a case and took up investigation.
