Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said on Tuesday that Siddipet has become an education centre for development activities for the rest of the State since the government had introduced a number of development projects in the district that are being visited by officials, elected representatives and NGOs to replicate the same in their respective areas.
Addressing an election rally in Siddipet Municipality in the 43th ward here on Tuesday, on the last day of campaign, Harish Rao has said that he would never forget the cooperation extended by the citizens of Siddipet during the Telangana movement and also the aftermath the State was created. Stating that he would never forget the love and support extended by the Siddipet people, he has said that he is paying back by bringing a slew of development works which made the town a model in development.
Saying that the ward members of Siddipet Municipality will act as a bridge between him and people, Rao has appealed to the citizens to elect the TRS candidates with a huge margin.
Asking the people not to believe the words of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rao has said that the Centre led by BJP had given even a single rupee to Telangana, dismissing their claims of releasing Rs 135 crore. Comparing various welfare schemes introduced by TRS government in the State and in BJP ruled States, the Minister has said that BJP had no commitment for the people’s welfare. Rao has participated in a number of election meetings in different wards on Tuesday. MP Medak Kotha Prbhakar Reddy and others were present.
