Siddipet municipal polls: 12 candidates file nomination on day one

As three of the candidates filed two sets of nominations each, the total nominations received by the election authorities was put at 15.

Siddipet: As many as 12 candidates filed nominations for different wards of Siddipet Municipality on the first day of nominations here on Friday.

As three of the candidates filed two sets of nominations each, the total nominations received by the election authorities was put at 15. While eight candidates from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) have filed nominations, two from Congress Party, one each from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and CPI filed their nominations today.


Meanwhile, Finance Minister and local MLA T Harish Rao declared official candidates of TRS party for six wards on Friday evening.
