Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Friday said the State government’s target was to build one public toilet for every 1,000 people in the State.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating a mobile She Toilet bought by Siddipet Municipality at a cost of Rs 20 lakh. The mobile She Toilet will be moved to busy places throughout the day where the movement of women is high.

He said the She Toilet will have two feeding rooms where new mothers can feed their children safely. It will also have rest rooms for women, the Minister said, adding that sanitary napkins will also be made available in the mobile toilet which will have solar panels on top.
As part of that, Rao said they have built a number of toilets since the State was created. He said that half of such toilets were meant for women. Saying that they had constructed 47 toilets in Siddipet town, Rao said that the mobile toilet will take the number to 48.
Saying that they have created 176 toilet seats in the Municipality under Swachh Bharat Mission, Rao said that 88 of them were for women. He has called upon the women to utilise the Mobile She Toilet.
