Siddipet police recaptures escaped remand prisoner within 24 hours

A remand prisoner who escaped from police custody during a routine hospital visit in Siddipet was recaptured within 24 hours. Police tracked the accused using CCTV footage after he allegedly stole a motorcycle and fled, eventually arresting him near Kamareddy railway station.

Siddipet: Siddipet police nabbed the remand prisoner who escaped from the police custody within 24 hours. The prisoner Sai Kumar was being taken to the government hospital in Siddipet in a police vehicle for a general health check up when he escaped by removing the handcuffs on Saturday.

Later, he stole a bike from Komaticheruvu bund and fled from Siddipet town. The police tracked him down by going through the CCTV footage. He was taken into custody on Sunday near Kamareddy railway station. He was sent to remand again. Commissioner of Police Rashmi Perumal appreciated the police team for tracking the man within 24-hours.
