Siddipet: Siddipet district has witnessed a significant decline in its 10th class results this year, securing the 25th position in the state with a pass percentage of 91.79. This performance falls below the state average of 92.78 percent and marks a stark contrast to the district’s second-place ranking last year, where it achieved a pass percentage of 98.65 percent.

The results have dropped by a substantial 6.86 percent. Since its formation in 2016, the district has never recorded such poor results in the 10th class examinations. Notably, Siddipet had held the second position in the previous two board examinations and even secured the first rank in 2020-21.

Educationalists attribute the poor performance, including that of government schools, to a lack of planning and execution by the education department.

While teachers suggest transfers played a role, this argument is not widely accepted given the better performance of other districts. Adding to the concern, Siddipet also ranked 31st in the intermediate second-year results and 30th in the intermediate first-year results. Parents of students attending government schools are urging officials to prioritize studies by developing a well-defined plan early in the academic year to improve student performance.

They have also appealed to Collector Manu Chowdary to review the results and identify the reasons for this significant dip. Currently, officials and teachers are focusing on preparations for the supplementary examinations to rectify the shortcomings.
