Siddipet: Siddipet district has been selected for Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Public Administration for the year 2019 under the Mission Indradhanush Category. The award was given for completing 100 per cent vaccination for children by identifying the children who were not vaccinated.
In a press statement on Tuesday, Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao has appreciated the entire immunisation department and other official machinery who extended support to them for achieving the feat. Under the award, the District will receive Rs 10 lakhs cash prize and a trophy. The District Collector M Hanumantha Rao was invited to attend a two-day civil services day that will be organised on April 20 and 21 to receive the award.
