Siddipet worksite tragedy: Provide insurance cover to MNREGS workers, says BRS MLA Harish Rao

Asks Telangana government to provide best treatment to the five injured workers

Siddipet: Expressing shock over the Goverdhanagiri accident where two MGNREGS workers died, former Minister T Harish Rao urged the State and Central governments to ensure the workers were brought under insurance cover.

He observed that the families of the deceased would get some financial relief if any untoward incident occurred at workplace.

In a press statement on Thursday, Harish asked the Telangana government to provide the best treatment to the five injured workers.

Terming the incident as unfortunate, he said the government must support the families of the deceased and injured financially.
