Sigachi Industries blast death toll rises to 44 as two more succumb

MD Arif, who was undergoing treatment at Panacea Hospital in Beeramguda, died on Tuesday morning. Another victim, Akhilesh, who was admitted to Dhruva Hospital, also succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Sangareddy: The death toll in the Sigachi Industries Limited blast rose to 44 after two more injured workers succumbed to their injuries on Tuesday.

MD Arif, who was undergoing treatment at Panacea Hospital in Beeramguda, died on Tuesday morning. Another victim, Akhilesh, who was admitted to Dhruva Hospital, also succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.


Meanwhile, an expert committee from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is scheduled to visit the accident site at 11 am to inspect the area and assess the cause of the explosion.
