Sindhu Hospitals conducts mega blood donation drive in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Sindhu Hospitals, Hitec City, on Monday organised a Mega Blood Donation Drive to raise awareness among the public, especially the youth, about the importance of voluntary blood donation and its critical role in saving lives.
A total of 1,000 units of blood collected during the one-day drive, which was inaugurated by M Srinivas Reddy, MD, Hetero Healthcare, were supplied to government hospitals, including OGH, Gandhi Hospital, NIMS and MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Centre, a press release said.
The contribution will support patients requiring urgent transfusions and critical care treatment in government hospitals.
The drive witnessed active participation from employees of Sindhu Hospitals and the Hetero Group of Companies, along with volunteers and members of the public. The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Dr M Parthasaradhi Reddy, Chairman, Sindhu Hospitals, and Chairman, Hetero Group of Companies.
The blood donation drive also served as a platform to educate communities on the ongoing need for blood donations and the significant impact a single donation can have in saving multiple lives, the press release added.
