Singareni CMD asks officials to ensure coal supply to all thermal plants in Telangana

Balram, who held a video conference with general managers of all the coal mines of the company, asked them to take steps to produce at least 2 lakh tonnes of coal everyday.

Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited(SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N Balram on Saturday directed officials to ensure continuous supply of coal to all the thermal plants situated in the State.

Balram, who held a video conference with general managers of all the coal mines of the company, asked them to take steps to produce at least 2 lakh tonnes of coal everyday. Stating that the Singareni company had the responsibility to provide sufficient coal in meeting the State’s electricity needs, he urged the officials to maintain coal production level to meet the demand.

Efforts should be made to compensate for the loss of production lost in the last three months due to rains, he said.
