Singareni Collieries’ turnover touches Rs 8,180 crore
The SCCL set a record by achieving a turnover of Rs.8,180 crore from April to July this financial year, registering 72 per cent growth over last year’s turnover of Rs.4,748 crore.

Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) registered tremendous growth in coal and power production in the first four months in this financial year despite Covid-19.
This year, the SCCL set a record by achieving a turnover of Rs.8,180 crore from April to July this financial year, registering 72 per cent growth over last year’s turnover of Rs.4,748 crore.
The turnover achieved by Singareni in the last four months through coal sales was Rs.6,949 crore registering a growth of 82 per cent. Last year in the same period it was Rs.3,816 crore.
The Singareni thermal power plant near Jaipur in Mancherial district is also surging ahead by achieving good turnover and profits. In the first four months, the power sales were Rs.1,231 crore achieving a growth of 32 per cent compared to Rs.932 crore last year.
Congratulating workers and officials, the SCCL Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar said that Singareni workers and officials were able to perform their duties with zeal and confidence as the management has taken all Covid precautions last year.
The safety measures taken by the SCCL helped in achieve set targets in the first four months, he said. He requested the employees to work with the same zeal in the coming eight months as well.
He informed that Singareni has changed its market strategies in view of the nationwide demand from customers. “We will achieve the set target of 700 lakh tons of coal this year,” he added.
