Singareni employee booked for uploading objectionable comments against KCR
A resident of Power House Colony in Godavarikhani, Ramchander works as an excavation operator in Medipalli opencast project
Peddapalli: Godavarikhani police registered a case against Punnam Ramchander, a Singareni employee, for uploading objectionable comments in social media against Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and his family members as well as encouraging disputes between castes.
A resident of Power House Colony in Godavarikhani, Ramchander works as an excavation operator in Medipalli opencast project. Four days ago, he uploaded a message on WhatsApp group abusing the Chief Minister and his family members using filthy language. His comments were intended to provoke tension between different castes and groups.
Peeved by the objectionable comments against the Chief Minister, Telangana Boggu Ghani Karmika Sangham (TBGKS) representatives lodged a complaint with Godavarikhani police on Wednesday.
Based on the complaint, police registered the case against Ramchander under sections 153 (A), 504, 505 (2), 506 IPC, 67 of IT Act on Thursday.
Godavarikhani ACP V Umender said some people were uploading objectionable comments in social media for their personal gains. He warned of stern action against people to try to disturb public peace through comments against persons or groups on social media platforms.
