Hyderabad: Minister of Coal and Mines Pralhad Joshi on Friday complimented Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) for registering a phenomenal 364 per cent growth in profits between April-July of 2021, over the corresponding period last year.
“Kudos to the leadership and employees of @PRO_SCCL. Keep up this growth momentum,” he tweeted.
In a short slide show posted on his Twitter account, the Union Minister said the SCCL has registered a tremendous turnover. From a loss of Rs.303 crore in the same period last year, the SCCL has earned a profit of Rs.800 crore during the same period this year.
A record surge in coal and power production has made this growth possible. There has been a 72 per cent increase in total turnover compared to the same period last year. The revenue from the sale of coal has been 82 per cent higher in April-July 2021.
Power sales have been 32 per cent more over the same period last year.
