Hyderabad: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited(SCCL) received the Special Campaign 4.O Award for taking up cleanliness programs in its areas.

Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy presented the award to Singareni Chairman and Managing Director N Balram at a function organised at New Delhi on Tuesday night. Singareni was awarded in the category of Maximum Number of Sites Cleaned in the Special Campaign 4.O launched by the Central Government.


Coal India, its subsidiaries and Neyveli Lignite under the union Ministry of Coal launched a special campaign called Swachhta 4.0 from October 2 to 31 last year. In this, the self-imposed target was to clean 157 places in 11 areas across Singareni. However, Singareni carried out cleanliness programs in 216 places and it was presented the award in the category of cleaning the largest number of places.
