Singareni sets target to achieve Rs. 60,000 cr turnover in next 5 years

Hyderabad:Singareni Collieries Company Limited(SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N Balram said the company had set a target to achieve a turnover of Rs. 60,000 crore in the next five years.
Addressing company employees and workers after hoisting the national flag on the occasion of Praja Palana Day celebrations, the day on which the erstwhile Hyderabad State was merged with the Union of India in 1948, at Singareni Bhavan on Tuesday, Balram said the way coal production was picking up the company’s turnover was likely to increase four fold in next few years.
Singareni was planning to set up solar power plant in Rajasthan, pumped storage plants in closed surface mines in Singareni, another 800 MW thermal plant in STPP and construction of 1600 MW thermal plant near Naini coal block in Odisha, he said, adding that the company also had plans to set up a 800 MW floating solar plants, green hydrogen plant and battery storage system in the State.
