Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited(SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N Balram said 33 per cent of the profits made by the company would be distributed as a bonus to the coal workers on October 9.
Balram, who is part of a State government delegation touring the US, held a review meeting through virtual mode on Tuesday, directed officials to release the bonus by October 9. Ahead of Dasara festivities, the Congress government has announced Rs. 796 crore as profit share bonus.
Each of the 41,835 permanent employees will receive a bonus of Rs 1.9 lakh. Additionally, for the first time, a bonus of Rs 5,000 each will also be given to the 25,000 contract employees of the company. Profit share bonus was paid taking into account the number of working days worked by them in the previous financial year, the officials said.eom
