Singareni workers to receive Diwali bonus on Friday

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday announced that the company would deposit the Diwali bonus amount in the accounts of workers on Friday.

Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited(SCCL) workers will receive Production Linked Reward Scheme Bonus, popularly known as Diwali bonus on Friday. Each worker will receive Rs.93,750 under the Diwali bonus.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday announced that the company would deposit the Diwali bonus amount in the accounts of workers on Friday. The Diwali bonus is applicable to around 40,000 workers working in the company.


During the Dasara festival the company has distributed Rs. 796 crore to all Singareni employees as a 33 percent profit share, officials claimed. Each worker received an average of Rs. 1.90 lakh and outsourced staff too were paid Rs.5,000. Apart from this the company has released Rs.90 crore for providing Rs.25,000 to each worker under festival advance.

In total, the company has released Rs. 1250 crore under Diwali bonus, profit share and festival advance during this month-long period. Thus, on an average, Singareni employees received approximately Rs. 3 lakh each during this month, according to officials.
