Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police are set to deploy advanced technology to detect multiple traffic violations on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) using a single camera.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Ramesh on Friday reviewed the Multi Violation Detection System (MVDS) during a visit to the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL) control room.
He inspected real-time traffic surveillance, automated violation detection and other technology-based road safety measures.
Officials explained the functioning of the newly installed single-camera MVDS, which uses video analytics to identify multiple types of traffic violations.
The system is expected to streamline enforcement and improve traffic monitoring on the ORR.
The Commissioner also reviewed the existing technological infrastructure and discussed measures to improve traffic discipline and prevent accidents through coordinated efforts between Cyberabad Police and HGCL.
