Sircilla weaver presents saree in matchbox to Tirumala Venkateshwara Swamy

Rajanna-Sircilla: A weaver from Sircilla, Nalla Vijay, has woven a saree that can fit into a matchbox and has presented it to Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy of Tirumala on Saturday.
Vijay, who is known for weaving innovative cloth items, made a special saree for Lord Venkateshwara Swamy on handloom.
It took 15 days to weave the five metre long, 48 inch wide saree, he said while interacting with the media after presenting the saree.
Every year, Vijay presents silk clothes to the goddess Sri Rajarajeshwari Devi of Vemulawada and Venkateshwara Swamy of Tirumala.
Recently, he wove a golden saree by using 200 grams of gold with silk border, reportedly spending Rs 20 lakh.
