Hyderabad: The Telangana government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the phone-tapping case, placing the probe under the overall supervision of Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar.
The SIT has been directed to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations and file the charge sheet at the earliest. The team comprises senior officers drawn from various wings of the police department.
The members of the SIT include Ambar Kishore Jha, Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam, S. M. Vijay Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Siddipet, Ritiraj, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhapur, K Narayana Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Maheshwaram, Ravinder Reddy of Greyhounds, K. S. Rao, Additional DCP, Rajendra Nagar, P. Venkatagiri, ACP, Jubilee Hills, who will serve as the Investigating Officer, Ch Sridhar, DSP, TGANB and Nagender Rao, DSP, HMRL.
Officials said the SIT would examine all aspects of the case, including the alleged misuse of surveillance systems, and take action in accordance with law.
