Hyderabad: Six persons were taken into custody by the Falaknuma police for their alleged involvement in the murder of Mohd Jaber reported three days ago at Ansari Road in the old city. The police arrested Saif Ali Khan, Ismail, Abrar, Hasham, Ishaq and Sameer from different places on Sunday and are questioning them.
According to the sources, Saif Ali Khan was having some issues with the victim Jaber against whom a rowdy sheet was maintained at Mailardevpally police station. Jaber along with his associates had allegedly murdered one Shahnoor Ghazi, at Kalapather eight months ago and Saif happens to be a relative of Ghazi.
“After the murder of Ghazi, the police arrested his assailants including Jaber and sent them to jail. Saif was also in jail at that time on murder charges. Saif suspected that Jaber played a key role in the murder of Ghazi and vowed revenge for it,” said an official investigating the case.
After release from the prison, Saif allegedly hatched a plan to kill Jaber. On Friday when Jaber was sitting along with his friend Osman, he was chased and attacked with lethal weapons.
