Hyderabad: Six players – Sreetej, Akella Sankalpa Ruthvik, RVSS Ramanjaneyulu, B Srikanth, B Mallesh and Sri Abhinav – shared the lead at the end of the third round with three points each in the Open category of the 236th Brilliant Trophy chess tournament at Brilliant Grammar High School, Dilsukhnagar, here on Saturday.
In the juniors category, 10 players – Sathvik Reddy, Harshavardhan, Venkataram Karthikeya, Chetan Maale, Reyansh Chowdhury, Sathya Karthikeya, Abhimaan Despande, Vikyath Thallapally, Ashvik Kumar and Yuvaan Rodda – are jointly in the lead with three points out of three rounds, while Jathin Reddy and Avaneesh are in second spot with 2.5 points out of three rounds.
