A case was registered against the jeep driver based on a complaint lodged by the parents of one of the students. Police said investigation was taken up.

Parents alleged that the narrow road had been causing accidents at regular intervals. They expressed regret that irrigation officials had failed to address the issue despite repeated representations. They demanded installation of warning signboards to prevent mishaps and also sought widening of the road.
