Six-year-old dies after school gate collapses on him in Hyderabad

A six-year-old child, A Ajay, a first standard student died due to fatal injuries sustained when he was struck by the school gate at Hayathnagar on Monday afternoon.

Hyderabad: A six-year-old child, A Ajay, a first standard student died due to fatal injuries sustained when he was struck by the school gate at Hayathnagar on Monday afternoon.

The child, who was studying in first standard at MPP School Hayathnagar, was standing near the school gate while other children were standing on the school gate. The gate collapsed and struck the boy who was standing nearby.

The heavy gate caused serious injuries to the child, who was rushed to the hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead, said Hayathnagar Inspector, P. Nagaraju Goud.

The body has been shifted to Osmania Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. A case is registered.
